Warm Colors
Warm colors consist of yellow, red, orange and combinations of these three hues and similar colors. As the name ‘warm’ suggests, they naturally create images and conjure pictures of warm things in your mind, such as light, sunrays, fire and heat.
Warm colors are stimulating and passionate. They provoke a sense of optimism, evoke happy emotions and ignite feelings of comfort, safety, contentment, pleasure and energy. Warm colors appear on one side of the color wheel and opposite the cool colors, namely blue, green, and violet. Optically, warm colors appear to advance, perennially coming closer toward the viewer, immediately grabbing his or her attention, and subtly pulling him in.
