Master or Old Master
In the arts, a master or master teacher is a revered person whose teachings and philosophy which makes up his “school of thought” is accepted as doctrine by his followers. In the old apprenticeship system, a master teacher was an accomplished artist of exemplary skill. His students or followers were called apprentices or disciples.
