Graphic Art

Graphic art is a traditional category of fine art and it covers a wide range of visual artistic expression, typically two-dimensional or artworks that are produced on a flat surface, for example; photography, calligraphy, printmaking, drawing, painting, typography, lithography, computer graphics, serigraphy (silk-screen printing), bindery and architectural plans. The term 'graphic art' usually refers to the arts that rely more on line, or tone rather than color. In another sense, the term, which is sometimes shortened to ‘graphics’ is used to cover the entire field of commercial printing, including text as well as illustrations.
