Gallery

A gallery is literally a room, building or an exhibition space used to display, view and sell works of art. It is a commercial enterprise that represents and works with a portfolio of carefully selected artists. The gallery acts as the agent, or the dealer, supporting, representing, showcasing and distributing the artworks of the artists under contract. All art galleries do the following four things that could be considered as the core of their business:

1: Build a portfolio of artists and artworks

2: Monitor and control the demand and supply of the artwork

3: Curate the exhibition program that establish the gallery’s identity

4: Sell and place works of artist in distinguished collections or museums
