Cast
A cast is an object, particularly a piece of sculpture, made by pouring or pressing liquid, such as molten, metal, plastic, rubber, fiber-glass or any other malleable material into a mould. Typically, the sculptor produces a model in an easily workable material such as clay or wax, then constructs from this a mould, usually in plaster, into which the more durable material of the finished work, bronze for example, is poured.
