Arts Advocacy is the act and process of establishing and demonstrating public support for the arts. It is active support that includes educating and informing elected officials in government and municipalities, lawmakers, the media, and the general public about the important role of the arts in nation building.

However, it is up to artists from the various art disciplines, art administrators and other stakeholders to be persistent in clearly, intelligently, convincingly and passionately explicating the value of the arts to lawmakers, legislators and relevant lobbyists.
