Art Movement

An art movement is a distinguishable artistic style (or tendency) seen in the intentions or works of a number of artists because of the striking similarity in technique, philosophy and goals they have embraced, or in the attitudes which they espouse in an organized, consistent, and at times provocative manner. Art movements thrive for a limited time that can be measured in months, years or even decades.

Examples of keen art movements include; Abstract Expressionism, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Avant-garde, Baroque and Bauhaus.
