antoine johnson and shingai mutasa are names that will eternally be engraved upon every mentioning of s.e.e.d gallery. as with every seed, it is imperative to bury it in fertile soil, and with patience and wisdom, those great qualities embedded within, begin to resonate, until the evidence of faith appears as the seed sprouts from the ground.
s.e.e.d gallery was founded by nya’, and officially planted in the year of our Lord, two thousand and five, in brooklyn, new york.
vision
s.e.e.d gallery's vision is three fold;
• to display work that is mature in contents, profound in meaning, and relative to the soul, where the principle of life originates
• to provide an atmosphere where the viewer can be alone with his thoughts, be stirred, challenged or stimulated from within, a treasured experience where one consummates with purpose, and journey towards your destiny
• to provide a resource center for artists, new and seasoned collectors, art critics, writers and the public at large
upon entering s.e.e.d gallery, one is immediately held captive by the reverent presence of a spiritual fervor illuminating within the space, and as you trickle out of the gallery, having chosen to listen, to enjoy the tour, the rich paintings and captivating poems that accompany each work in an ethereal ambiance, your senses are awakened, your spirit replenished, and the seed of belief within you aroused…
s.e.e.d gallery is destined for greatness, and by faith, the only acceptable currency to move mountains, the seed will continue to grow, rooted in new york and with firm branches around the world.
submission policy
s.e.e.d gallery is always considering the work of new artists,
• artists should prepare and send a c.d with their work, as either a power point presentation or jpegs format, accompanied with the following
• the titles, dimensions and medium used for each painting,
• brief synopsis of the work.
• a detailed resume
the work will be assessed, and if it meets the vision of the gallery, the artist will be contacted within four to six weeks, to either schedule a studio visit or an interview,
